ASITIA (as-ee-tee'-ah)
is derived from the original Greek word sitiđa which
when translated means abstinence, go without,
or to fast.

Educating
- Five day in-class
instruction using Why kNOw? abstinence curriculum.
(Why kNOw? has been approved by the State of
Tennessee Board of Education and meets state guidelines for
sexuality education.)
- High school and
middle school health fair presentations.

Guiding

Parent-to-Parent Program - guiding parents in teaching their
children the importance of sexual purity.

Teen Drama Team
- serving as role models and accountability partners at the peer
level.
- In-Service
Training and Seminars - partnering with local health educators
to share up-to-date information regarding sexuality issues.

Warning
- In-depth
Training - equipping volunteers to warn young people of the
dangers of unplanned pregnancy, sexually transmitted disease,
emotional and other consequences on a personal level.
